It means "Register this connection's addresses in DNS" is turned on in the
Advanced TCP/IP Settings on that Win 2000 server. Turn that off. The Win
2000 machine is trying to do dynamic updates in your 52.40.10.in-addr.arpa
zone file, which are inappropriate if the machine has a fixed IP address.
