Yeah. When i encounter something similar, i always add

-d 5

in my named startup file, so 

named -d 5 [and then the rest that was there before]

sop named, do a 

tail -f /var/named/named.run (or wherever your bind root is) 

and then start named again.

You will probably find what the reason is...


To me, the REFUSED means that your nameserver (who is master) cannot
access the slave for a NOTIFY. Could be wrong though... Check your
keys? Some allow- statement?
