Newbie Question -- Resolver

Hi, all I have set up a Bind 9 server . According to
the documentation , resolver library is installed . 

So, I am wondering if the normal nslookup and dig will
use the newly installed resolver library ? I have
tried manipulating the SIG records and dig (this is
using the bind9 version) still gives me a valid answer
