BIND has nothing to do with it.  By default, logs go to 'syslogd'.

Wherever your 'syslogd' puts them.  Look in /etc/syslog.conf for that.

Some versions of Solaris put it in /var/adm/messages.

You have STILL not said anything I have seen about the system under
which you're running BIND.  That, more than anything, determines the
answers to many of the questions you are asking.
