Nope. There is no libres.a anywhere on my system. Should there be?

The bind-devel rpm provided a libbind.a file, and I do have a -lbind on the 
compile line.

PS I just did a quick RPM search of the distribution, and the only mention 
of a libres.a is in an old compat-glibc RPM for Mandrake 5.2 (man, that's 
ancient!) compatibility.
