Bind-8 No Default Server

Tell me... have you looked at your logs? It very clearly states:

named[2803]: sysquery: sendto([198.32.64.12].53): Network is unreachable

If you are using 192.168.1/24 on your local network, and have no
external connectivity, this is exactly what one would expect. You have
to set up the server so it can work independently of the Internet -
possibly by setting up your own root zone.

I have never been in this situation as I stick to defining a new TLD
(like .lan.) if that is needed. Then it won't break things if/when the
server gets connected, either.
