root(@) with CNAME record help

This was covered at least 300000000000000000000 times perhaps I missed one
or two but the number is as large!

Answer below:
root (@) CAN NOT HAVE A CNAME RECORD
THEIR IS NO WAY TO TELL BIND TO ACCEPT IT!
