Hello,
I have a strange behaviour concerning subdomain delegation in a mixed
environment AIX
and W2k in my intranet.
My AIX Server runs BIDN v 8.3.1 (compiled sources from isc.org) and
hosts the top zone
'a-ts.de'. In this zone is a delegation for the subdomain (xpu.a-ts.de)
to a W2k server
running MS-BIND.
If I try to lookup the contents of the subdomain 'xpu.a-ts.de' with 'ls
-d xpu.a-ts.de.'
the error message is as follows:
> ls -d xpu.a-ts.de.
[localhost]
*** Domõne xpu.a-ts.de. kann nicht aufgelistet werden:Unspecified error
> set d2
> ls -d xpu.a-ts.de.
;; res_nmkquery(QUERY, xpu.a-ts.de., IN, AXFR)
[localhost]
*** Domõne xpu.a-ts.de. kann nicht aufgelistet werden:Unspecified error
>
Vice versa if I make the server of the subdomain as my prim. NS and I
want to
list the contents of the upper domain 'a-ts.de' it does not work either.
Network connections do work properly and on both servers is recursion on.
> server 10.48.0.18
Standard-Server: fddc31.xpu.a-ts.de
Adresse: 10.48.0.18
> ls -d a-ts.de.
[fddc31.xpu.a-ts.de]
*** Domõne a-ts.de. kann nicht aufgelistet werden:Unspecified error
> set type=ns
> a-ts.de.
Server: fddc31.xpu.a-ts.de
Adresse: 10.48.0.18
Nicht zuverlõssige Antwort:
a-ts.de Namens-Server = ns-koms.a-ts.de
Zuverlõssige Antworten sind vorhanden bei:
ns-koms.a-ts.de Internet-Adresse = 172.16.100.125
>
the contents of my zone 'a-ts.de' is as follows:
;BIND DUMP V8
$ORIGIN de.
a-ts 600 IN A 10.48.0.26 ;Cl=2
86400 IN SOA ns-koms.a-ts.de. honert.signal.de. (
2002041103 10800 3600 604800 86400 ) ;Cl=2
86400 IN NS ns-koms.a-ts.de. ;Cl=2
$ORIGIN a-ts.de.
xpu 86400 IN NS fddc31.xpu.a-ts.de. ;Cl=2
86400 IN NS fddc32.xpu.a-ts.de. ;Cl=2
ns-koms 86400 IN A 172.16.100.125 ;Cl=2
adsdc31 1200 IN A 10.48.0.26 ;Cl=2
$ORIGIN xpu.a-ts.de.
fddc32 86400 IN A 10.48.0.20 ;Cl=2
fddc31 86400 IN A 10.48.0.18 ;Cl=2
Well of course the problem exists not only on w2k server, but also on
other AIX Machines hosting subdomains.
What is wrong ?
If more output is needed please let me know ..
please excuse the german idiom !
regards
holger
