ndc does not start

Are you running ndc as root?  You don't want ordinary users on the machine
stopping the name server;  Do you?

I am getting error messages while starting ndc after
installing bind 8.2.5 on Solaris 2.6.

# /usr/sbin/in.ndc stop
 ndc: error: ctl_client: evConnect(fd 3): No such file
or directory
 ndc: error: cannot connect to command channel
(/etc/ndc)
