reverse lookup

I need understanding about reverse lookup and how to deactivate if it
is not needed.
We have several RFC 1918 DHCP networks running for remote access. The
problem is, that e.g. unix servers try to make a reverse address
lookup up if an remote client tries to start an remote execution on
the server. For the RFC 1918
networks we don´t want to have a reverse address lookup (we haven´t
set it up in our dns-servers either).
