that all depends.  most *nix machines don't have a builtin DNS cache.
you should look in /etc/resolv.conf and see what nameservers the machine
is using to resolve stuff.  then, if you have access to those machines,
you could flush the cache on those machines.

if they're running bind 9, rndc flush would do the trick.
