Barry,
	Sorry my question was not clear enough.  If you will notice that
hoser.parent, and hoser.screwed.parent are 2 different sub domains of the
parent domain.  Since it is an AD network, I am not sure that the caching
nameserver in this instance would work.  Like I said, our MS admins would
like to avoid rebuild the AD tree with the new name since it would involve
250 DT visits.

I don't understand your question.  What do you mean by "point back"?  A
subdomain server doesn't normally need any information about the parent
domain in its configuration.

If there are users using your server as their caching nameserver, and they
try to look things up in the parent domain, your BIND server will find that
information by working its way down from the root, just like any other
nameserver.
