setting up bind 8.2.3

I am having problems with setting up my dns server.
My mail server is currently delegated to my isp's nameserver, so all I
want is for the server to respond to queries to retrieve external
addresses and also to respond apropriately for internal addresses.
My internal addressing scheme is a class C adress range 192.168.1.x
I can do internal reverse lookups ie nslookup 192.168.1.2 returns
gold.cpplating.com.au.
However internal lookups fail ie unknown host/domain
gold.cpplating.com.au.
I can't work out what is wrong with my configuration files.
Could someone please shed some light on this for me.
Regards,
Andrew R. Reid
