views and master server

Hello,
When working with views,  is it necessary that BOTH dns servers, MASTER 
and SLAVE, have two ip's addresses, one for the internal view and the 
other one for the external?
In some examples I've found, the Slave has two ip's addresses, one for 
each view, and the Master has only one.
