Since when are NAPTR records supported

Hi,

I searched the archives, the online documentation, and some code of and 
documentation for past versions of bind, however, I could not determine so 
far in which version of bind (both bind 8 and bind 9, possibly even bind 4?) 
support for NAPTR records first appeared. Does anyone know when this was 
added? Or where to look for that information?
