There's no way for DNS to make mail go to *both* servers.  You can put
multiple MX records in your domain, and senders will try them in order of
preference until they get a successful connection.  Use:

yourdomain.com. IN MX 10 mail.yourdomain.com.
                IN MX 20 backupmail.yourdomain.com.
