whois changed??

It seems that whois is not giving the information that it use to.
Whenever I whois a site, I get this huge disclaimer and no info.
Is there a way to get just the primary and secondary nameservers
for a domain without all that other garbage?  Contact info and
expiration would be helpful too.  I sure don't like going to a website
just to find this information.
