timeouts by one of two identic server

Hi,

I have a problem with bind 9.2.2. I installed two server of identical 
type. Both have the same hardware (19" rack server machines, one is a 
slim-line version), the same OS (Linux) and the same bind configuration.

The problem: Both server are working in a cluster with the same load, 
but the slim one causes a lot of timeouts while answering dns requests.

I checked the logfiles in debug mode, but found no difference between 
the servers. A reinstallation of the OS and BIND brought no difference.

Does anyone have an idea which reason could cause these problems?
I would be grateful for every reply.
