Keep "starting BIND 9.1.0" out of syslog?

We're running BIND 9.1.0. There is a requirement to not have the BIND
version logged to syslog. (But they still want other messages to go to
syslog.)

I'm going thru "DNS and BIND" 4/e with the logging section and having
no success... that statement still gets logged.

I've even tried things like

logging {
category default { null; };
};

which I think would shut everything off, but I'm still getting new log
messages.

(I also have:

options {
version "";
}

which stiffs the txt/chaos query.)

Any idea of at least what category the "Starting BIND 9.1.0" belongs
to?
