MX and domain in separate locations

That's not a valid command.  Did you mean "dig isdesigndev.com any

Right, I was trying to do

dig +short isdesigndev.com ns @ns1.apolloservers.com.

Thanks for the explanation...I will try to get them to remove the zone
file.
