DNS Lookup error /timeout

Hi,

I have the following problem.

My company has 3 DNS servers.  Most of XP and some of W2K boxes experience a
DNS lookup time out / failure.  This only happens on looking up internal
servers / printers.  When going outside the intranet the DNS is working
without problems.

Any suggestions, ideas, solutions are greatly appreciated.  As would be
pointers to any relevant documentations.
