Performance of Bind 9.2.3 vs BIND 4.8.3

In my past dabblings with named perf
(ftp://ftp.cup.hp.com/dist/networking/briefs/) I was taught about a
BIND 9 option concerning minimal responses that may help speed things
up.  May not close the gap entirely, but it might help.
