You can arrange zone-cuts whereever there is a dot, you can use
48.0.10.in-addr.arpa , 0.10.in-address.arpa , in-addr.arpa or 
just plain arpa if you like. ( even the root zone but that will 
create other problems.

Have a look where your windows system has placed it's zone-cut, chances
are that it has created 10.in-addr.arpa. Then change your
slave definition to match that.

Don't follow you here. But it's probably wrong ( like most MS stuff :-)

Nope. bind does not do this. Your resolver might du, look on 
the "searchlist" directive in resolv.conf.
