Cross posting: DDNS add/delete problem

Hi all,

I am cross posting this for a really good reason, as you will see shortly, I
hope...

Versions: BIND 9.2.4, DHCPd v3.0.1

I am running into a very strange problem. We are using ISC DHCP and ISC
BIND, and DDNS between them. For some strange reason, when a request or
renew comes in the DHCP server will add the forward map, ACK the request,
and then REMOVE the forward map, as seen in the log snippit below:

Dec 22 11:01:01 ns1 dhcpd: [ID 702911 local7.info] Added new forward map
from rgvoip-0-d-da-1-6e-3e.rg to 10.85.1.242
Dec 22 11:01:02 ns1 dhcpd: [ID 702911 local7.info] DHCPREQUEST for
10.85.1.242 (66.163.128.5) from 00:0d:da:01:6e:3e via 10.1.5.5
Dec 22 11:01:02 ns1 dhcpd: [ID 702911 local7.info] DHCPACK on 10.85.1.242 to
00:0d:da:01:6e:3e via 10.1.5.5
Dec 22 11:01:02 ns1 dhcpd: [ID 702911 local7.info] if
rgvoip-0-d-da-1-6e-3e.rg IN TXT "31fa5ffb47bdd65d60ef3c7109d00fe327" rrset
exists and rgvoip-0-d-da-1-6e-3e.rg IN A 10.85.1.242 rrset exists delete
rgvoip-0-d-da-1-6e-3e.rg IN A 10.85.1.242: success.

The only way that I have found to recover from this (hence the cross post)
is to clean all host entries out of the DNS database file for that
particular domain or network, delete or move the .jnl files, and restart the
DHCP and DNS servers.

Anyone else ever run into this???? It's very annoying, and it is not yet
production. I cannot have this behavior once it is in production, as it
will be very destructive. I can't seem to be able to get the MARC site up,
so I haven't been able to search for this; if this problem has been
discussed there, please accept my apologies and begin flaming me! :) Also,
if it's a version thing, it is not a problem to update the BIND, but DHCP is
production and may be a slight problem; however, it is workable, so if it is
a version problem, just let me know.

Thanks!!!
