Migrating BIND to new hardware

We currently use version 6.07. What specifically do you mean by changes
to the config/zone files? Is there a good doc on the steps involved in
upgrading BIND to the latest version and what if any changes need to be
done?

Depends on which version you're coming from. I'd upgrade BIND on the
old hardware first, then make any necessary changes to config or zone
files.
After you're sure everything is operating properly it's just a matter of
moving those files to the new server.
