server can't find www.yahoo.com: SERVFAIL

Is it only yahoo.com? What about other ".com" domains?

yahoo.com nameservers are well managed and reachable from
everywhere. Since "dig +trace" works, it seems to indicate there is no
routing or reachability problems.

So, the problem seems to be in BIND, not in your network. What's in
BIND's log?
