DNS Looping Issue

There's no "looping" going on. Whenever an iterative resolver gets an
"upwards" referral like this, it considers that a bad response and tries
to get the information from another nameserver for the domain. In this
case, both ns1.granitecanyon.com and ns2.granitecanyon.com (which is
responding to me) are giving this "upwards referral", so if the
efeingold.com domain were delegated to these 2 nameservers, the
iterative resolver would consider them both "lame" and simply fail out.
Presumably the Granite Canyon nameservers are giving out upwards
referrals because the efeingold.com domain hasn't been created/defined
on them yet. Take that up with Granite Canyon.
