Hello,

sorry if these questions are dumb - but i'm a complete newbie to dns,
bind and these things.

For internal reasons I need to change the output of named.
So if i do e.g.
dig mydomain.com @localhost

bind on localhost should return a transformed message (which is then
received by dig).
(If i understood things right dig asks the local bind - the query is
then delivered to the correct nameserver for mydomain.com - the answer
is received by my local bind and then delivered to dig; pls correct me
if i'm completely wrong).

After hours of searching - as i got not too much experience in C
programming - i couldn't find the right place in the code where the
output is assembled/received/delivered.

Any help will be appreciated,

RZ
