building a DNS system

It loads in about 3 - 5 seconds for the whole page for me, looks like an
initial delay. Only a little faster than Google or Yahoo. I have about
600kbps connection in real life.

Maybe Firefox does a good job? Or MAC-OSX?

What times should we expect for loading all those images?
