named.conf file in xml

What is this fasination with XML??? Like it is all that great, readable or
whatever.

It just makes things complex.  

Albeit for some things XML might be great.. like for storing data that will
never be read or EDITED by humans.

Reading and editing an XML file is WAY more complicated and ERROR PRONE then
good ol

param = value

Formats... stay simple and use what works.  Do not go GEEK just because you
can.
