Permission denied & Network is unreachable errors

I wonder if someone can give me some pointers on tracking down the reason for the
following two errors please? :-

Aug 22 17:30:25 tiny named[2462]: ns_resp: sendto([127.255.255.255].53): Permission
denied
Aug 22 17:03:09 tiny named[2462]: sysquery: sendto([2001:dc7::1].53): Network is
unreachable

Here's a few system details, in case they are needed :-
