Yes, definitely. What happens is that as long as BIND is relying on
glue A records got from the .com servers, everything works, but once
the CNAMEs get into the cache it all goes pear-shaped.

dns2.registerfly.com and dns3.registerfly.com are CNAMEs. 
dns1.registerfly.com is in an even sicker state, having an A
record _and_ a CNAME (no modern BIND would let that happen).
