All,

I have bind 9.9.1.P1-2 with dynamic updates from dhcp 4.2.3.2-2. It has worked
great, but I've run into a problem with a dreaded kids-present that I suspect is
due to the game console attempting to provide a hostname containing spaces -- of
all things. (Nintendo\032Wii\032U) Here is the transaction in detail:

Dec 26 20:55:42 nirvana dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 9c:e6:35:35:d1:cf via eth0
Dec 26 20:55:43 nirvana dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.6.148 to 9c:e6:35:35:d1:cf
(Nintendo Wii U) via eth0
Dec 26 20:55:43 nirvana named[682]: client 127.0.0.1#2282/key
nirvana.3111skyline.com: signer "nirvana.3111skyline.com" approved
Dec 26 20:55:43 nirvana named[682]: zone 3111skyline.com/IN:
Nintendo\032Wii\032U.3111skyline.com/A: bad owner name (check-names)
Dec 26 20:55:43 nirvana dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.6.148 (192.168.6.17) from
9c:e6:35:35:d1:cf (Nintendo Wii U) via eth0
Dec 26 20:55:43 nirvana dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.6.148 to 9c:e6:35:35:d1:cf
(Nintendo Wii U) via eth0
Dec 26 20:55:43 nirvana dhcpd: Unable to add forward map from Nintendo Wii
U.3111skyline.com to 192.168.6.148: REFUSED

It seems insane that any modern device would think "spaces" are a good idea in
a hostname, but Nintendo obviously does. Is there any way to accommodate this,
or should I look for a way to sanitize the hostname?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
