PTR Record Issue

Presumably you have 'zone "" { .... };' in named.conf.

You need "@ IN PTR localhost." not "1 IN PTR localhost.".  This puts the
PTR record at the top of the zone not one label further down.

Also make sure the IPv4 reverse zone is called "",
not "", if it is using the same master file.
