Overriding a single record with dynamic-dns

Maybe I'm missing something, but for this specific example, wouldn't it 
be simpler to use an MX of "magicmx.myzone.com.", and have 
magicmx.myzone.com. in a separate zone entirely, allowing you to use 
views for that that one zone?
