One cause could be that this version of BIND will try to build the "isc"
python module, and fail, because it requires python >= 2.7. However, RHEL 6 only ships with python 2.6. You can probably see this if you examine the build logs.

You'll need to add "--without-python" to work around this.

I also recommend that you remove the DIG_SIGCHASE define. This feature has been deprecated, and the newest release of BIND, 9.14.0, doesn't even have it any more.
