/usr/sbin/named -V | grep -I tap

Shows:
-Ddnstap=enabled

(And will show:
compiled with protobuf-c version: 1.4.1
linked to protobuf-c version: 1.5.1)

Subject: Suggestion for KB re: Dnstap & BIND

In regards to https://kb.isc.org/docs/aa-01342 how do we know if a BIND binary was compiled with Dnstap support? It's a simple question, it needs a simple answer. (or several)

Let's start with this one:

# root at fedora:/usr/sbin# ldd named | grep fstrm
       libfstrm.so.0 => /lib64/libfstrm.so.0 (0x00007f37934a3000)

Credit where due, that came from https://vendorn.com/integrations/latest-release/bind-deployment-guide.html

Respectfully...
