Thanks for the help with the first issue. Now I'm trying to work on messages such as: Jan 8 16:26:57 ns1 named[17422]: default: error: ns_resp: TCP truncated: "ecableworks.com" IN A from [205.139.153.2].53 I've researched and believe that I understand this problem. It seems to fall under the categories of: 1.) something I can do nothing about (since it's the other server's misconfiguration) 2.) something that doesn't really hurt me So is there any way of specifically masking out this message? Once again, I want to keep default at the info level, but not have hundreds of these per hour. I know that at some point I'll have to resort to filtering at the syslog level, but anything I can cut out at the source I want to...
