Vincent, This is a bit off-topic, but there is software called Nagios, written in Perl, that does network (service-level) monitoring. It can follow user-defined actions when a host/network/service goes up and/or down. It would appear that 1.0 was released, recently. I have used it for a couple years now, mostly when it was NetSaint and even the earlier versions were very good at this type of thing. http://www.nagios.org/ > Note : This sever belongs to a multiple A records (IP adresses) associated > to a same name.
