Hello ,
  I'm having a problem with bind-9.4.2-3 as well as in bind-9.3.3-10.el5.

The sequence that leads to the error is

1) Start up the nameserver.
2) Do nsupdate to change the zone info, 
      In this change the ips of several A records

3) At this point i see that there are .jnl files written with the same
     name as the zone conf files

4) Stop the nameserver


5) Start the nameserver.

    At this point i get lots of err messages like 

   May 15 17:03:06 isit01 named[14655]: master/testxxx.com:67: ignoring 
out-of-zone data (oaig.testxxx.com)
May 15 17:03:06 isit01 named[14655]: master/testxxx.com:68: ignoring 
out-of-zone data (obatch.testxxx.com)
May 15 17:03:06 isit01 named[14655]: master/testxxx.com:69: ignoring 
out-of-zone data (obilling.testxxx.com)
May 15 17:03:06 isit01 named[14655]: master/testxxx.com:70: ignoring 
out-of-zone data (omail.testxxx.com)
May 15 17:03:06 isit01 named[14655]: master/testxxx.com:71: ignoring 
out-of-zone data (omaprod.testxxx.com)
May 15 17:03:06 isit01 named[14655]: master/testxxx.com:72: ignoring 
out-of-zone data (osecure.testxxx.com)

6) When i stop the nameserver i see that bind creates another zone file
     incorporating the changes from the jnl file.  But the problem is when
     i try to  start bind, it reads the zone file that it created while it was 
      shutting down, and gives 100s of these messages and doesnt start up :-(

Please help, as i seem to hit a deadend :-( while searching for solutions
