the following patch will appear in BIND 8.2.3:

===================================================================
RCS file: /proj/cvs/isc/bind/src/INSTALL,v
retrieving revision 8.36
diff -r8.36 INSTALL
17c17
<       Digital ULTRIX 4.5
---
>       Digital ULTRIX 4.5 (without Compaq's Y2K kit installed)

We've gone round and round on this. ULTRIX is just "too hard" now.
I'm still accepting patches, and if it's ever patched back up to
"working" I'll put it back on the "working" list. Note that ULTRIX
doesn't have a fully ANSI C compiler and we've been bending over a
bit to support it at all.
