#ifdef BROKEN_RECFROM

I have been trying to get forwarders to work in 8.2.3 t7b for NT but it has been hanging(waiting?) on a recvfrom call?  

In ns_main.c there is this #ifdef BROKEN_RECVFROM statement which depending of if it is defined sets nudptrans to either 1 or 20.  I've looked in the changes file but haven't found anything that looks related.  If I define BROKEN_RECVFROM (nudptrans -> 1) it works.  I can run BIND 8.2.2. with no problem (nudptrans -> 20).  I was just wondering if anyone can share with me what is different between 8.2.2 and 8.2.3 that would affect this.

My Ws2_32.dll says it is version 4.00 if that matters.
