Negative caching of "delegation-only" zones?

I really appreciate the "delegation-only" patch.  Great idea.  But I
miss negative caching in the "delegation-only" zones.  I guess this is
because the AUTHORITY section is deleted.  Would it be possible to
instead replace the NS records in AUTHORITY with a SOA record to
restore the way NXDOMAIN used to work before VeriSign fucked up?=20=20
