Automatized BIND building

Hi all,

it would be nice have BIND building completely automatized. Does anybody 
here think about rewrite configure.in + Makefile.in tree into 
configure.ac + Makefile.am tree, start using automake (Makefiles could 
conform 
http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html#Makefile-Conventions 
better), build libraries with libtool etc? For example Xorg foundation 
did it and now they have only profit from that change. Any opinions 
about this?
