At this point we have surpassed my level of knowledge. The BIND doc was
set up by an ISC employee long since departed, and all I know is I'm
supposed to dance counterclockwise before sacrificing the chicken.

As far as I know it's just for generating .tex, but it may have
fingers stretched into other things as well.  This sounds like a good
plan to me, though.
