bind utilities timer

Hi,

I'm working on a bug where the "host" command hangs indefinitely in
"epoll_pwait", despite the fact that a "-W 2" option is given.

I'm trying to work my way through the code which sets up a timer to find
what happens when the timer expires. It seems that the expiration does
not happen, as strace does not show anything.

Is there some description of the timer (lib/isc/timer.c)?
