Do we really need this mailing list?

Hi Vicky!

I'm not opposed to closing this list if we can agree to use some
(several?) other forum(-a) for the (few!) issues that come up here -
e.g., general questions about design choices, observations of strange
behaviour, and/or suggestions of/discussions abuout new features.
