[bind10-dev] tabs are now prohibited?

I just noticed I couldn't commit new changes to the svn repository.
svn commit failed with the following error message:

I found svn/hooks/pre-commit was recently modified, which apparently
did this check and rejected my commit.

Is that an intentional change?  I remember we discussed style change
from 8-tab to 4-tab, but I'm afraid it's too restrictive to completely
prohibit tab characters even with 4-tab.
