Following the two F2F discussions at RIPE in Lisbon, here are pointers
to the solutions used by two other Internet daemons, which, unlike
BIND 9, have already a way to separate control configuration and
"data" configuration (the list of domains they serve):

IMHO, it would be worth considering similar solutions.
