Hi all,

We were discussing software design pattern languages on the call today.

The wiki I mentioned on the call is called the Portland Pattern Repository
(and I think it may be the first wiki that was ever on the internet).
It's at c2.com, and it's more than a little chaotic, but there's a lot of
good stuff in it. Some good places to start are:

        http://www.c2.com/cgi/wiki?CategoryPattern
        http://www.c2.com/cgi/wiki?PatternsForBeginners

Here's the book that sort of started it all off (widely known as the "Gang
of Four" book, or "GoF"):

        http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=0201633612/portlandpatternrA/

A good introduction to design pattern concepts:

        http://www.cmcrossroads.com/bradapp/docs/patterns-intro.html

And here's the wikipedia page, which seems quite thorough:

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_pattern_(computer_science)

                                        eh
